⚛️Inside an Atom
Protons (+) — positive particles packed in the nucleus.
Neutrons — particles with no charge, also in the nucleus.
Electrons (–) — tiny negative particles that race around outside.
The nucleus is the dense center — and an atom is mostly empty space!
🧪Elements & the Periodic Table
When you gather a bunch of the same kind of atom, you have an element — a pure substance made of only one type of atom. The Periodic Table is a giant menu of every element scientists have found, each with its own one- or two-letter symbol.

Two or more atoms bonded together make a molecule.

Two or more different elements bonded make a compound — like water (H₂O).

Same all the way through. One fixed makeup with its own properties — like an element or a compound (gold, water).

Different things mixed together but NOT chemically bonded — so they can be separated again (like trail mix or salad).
